We are delighted to have Siân Harrignton, co-founder and editorial director of The People Space as a speaker for our next Purple Cubed business breakfast. In her 28-year career as a business journalist, Siân has been lucky enough to meet and interview some of the world’s leading business people, as well as working herself in both large and small media organisations during hugely transformative times. Her experience has clearly testified to the pivotal role good people practice and continual learning plays in successful and sustainable organisations.
Siân firmly believes that a positive and productive work culture is beneficial to the individual, organisation, wider economy and society as a whole. She is particularly enthusiastic about the positive impact good people leaders can make to business and humanity, and for this reason left her corporate career last year to set up a new business: The People Space, which launches in May 2017.
The People Space’s mission is to be the leadership community that advances and promotes excellence in performance and value creation through people. It comprises an exclusive, invitation-only network connecting people leaders across functions, organisations and geographies to share knowledge and insights, access personal and professional development and receive peer advice on business challenges in a secure, vetted and trusted environment; as well as an editorial website featuring content written by members, experts, journalists and brand partners.
Prior to deciding to set up her own business, Siân was a director at the Mark Allen Group, where she had P&L responsibilities across a number of brands including HR magazine, which she formerly edited for seven years. Her role was to formulate and deliver the strategic direction of the brands. She is also a non-executive director of leadership institute Roffey Park.
