Talent toolbox goes Stateside


Talent toolbox, learnpurple's award winning online performance and talent management tool continues to wow users and has now gone stateside.

Already being used in six countries across Europe, talent toolbox is now helping one of the most celebrated restaurant organisations in the world; Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group.

Danny Meyer is founder of USHG and the author of NY Times best seller, "Setting the Table". USHG operates a number of successful restaurants in the USA; including NY classics Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, 11 Madison Square and now Shake Shack (offering the best burgers and shakes in New York!).

USHG have excellent people stuff in place and we've long admired the way they do things. They recognised though that they need to keep pushing the boundaries to keep their talented people engaged and gain a better understanding of where their leaders of the future are coming from; especially important when the economy is tough.

Having scoured the market for a tool to help them do this, Susan Salgado (Director of Learning & Culture) and Paul Bolles-Beavan (President Core Division) came across learnpurple and immediately warmed to us. Having been impressed by the results and cost savings we've helped other service organisations achieve, they asked us for a demo.

The rest, as they say, is history.

So whilst we still have firm focus on the UK and our many fab clients here, learnpurple now has a virtual office in New York and we are very much enjoying our relationship with USHG and the exposure the tool is getting in USA.

Union Square Hospitality Group really are one of the most inspirational organisations I have ever come across. They have some amazing people and really do practice Danny's "enlightened hospitality" approach.

As part of my trip I was fortunate to visit most of their restaurants (for research purposes of course) and I have to say the service really is the finest I've ever come across.

It is a pleasure to be working with our new friends from USHG and we are looking forward to the success we share leading to further benefits for both organisations.
